Massage therapy in canmore
Are you a local in the Bow Valley? Or are you visiting this beautiful mountain town for your holiday?
Either way, your body and mind could use some break and being taken care of.
I love to be able to correct physical imbalances that cause pains and limitations of mobility that people experience due to overuse patterns, injuries, postural imbalances, etc.
For anything between your scalp to toes that doesn't feel right, I believe there is a way to treat and I would like to help.
If you are under the stress, I would like to help relief some of that too.
I also offer scalp massage as well as cupping therapy for whoever I think it's beneficial or who simply wants them.
Starting in October 2024, I also offer facial massage. Incorporating skin care products during this massage, this will elevate your experience and provide additional benefits to the skin, while getting release of the tension of muscles and tissues in your face.
Let me help you with whatever treatments you are looking for.
About Mariko
I came from Japan in 2007 and ever since I have been blessed to call Bow Valley my home. I love being in the mountains, rock climbing, skiing, hiking, etc…
My passion for helping people led me to become a Physiotherapist in my home country Japan. During these years of practice I learned that some conditions might be significantly affected by my skills and unfortunately some might be beyond my control and abilities. Regardless of this principle, I understood that it is within my power to serve each person with the best of my ability, intent and skills in every session to make a positive difference in their lives. In 2016, I became RMT and I have been pleased to contribute to people's wellness ever since.
My understanding of the human body is a broad whole system that requires a positive state of mind first and foremost. This is why I consider Relaxation to be fundamental for all other therapeutic goals that each person might have for their treatments. Worked in the spa environment for 4 years made me realized that we don't always need to go deep to get the relief people are looking for. I am also understanding from my experience that scalp massage has great benefits to not only releasing muscle tensions but balancing the autonomic nervous system. Therefore, I love to offer scalp massages and it has been everybody's favourite!
