Massage Therapy
You don't need to know what type of massage you are looking for. All I need to know is what is your main reason to want a massage and how long the treatment you want it to be. We can discuss what I can offer based on your needs. Below are just ideas of the differences between the common massage types.
However, if you want to experience the facial massage, please book for the facial massage or massage therapy with facial. This allows me to be fully prepared for your treatment!
Relaxation
Do not underestimate the relaxation massages. I hear a lot people say "relaxation is too light. I want to feel the pressure". That is not true. Relaxation massages can be deep pressure. My focus on relaxation is to work on the nervous system to release tension that you have throughout the body. Using long continuous flows and generally full body massage. Trust me. You will feel it.
Therapeutic
Do you have some issues in certain areas of your body?
Let me know. I will dig in to see what might be causing the issue and focus on correcting them. Although, do not forget that your body is a whole system. Your back maybe hurting but the problem could be in your legs. I will make sure to work all around the areas to provide the most relief I could.
Deep tissue
As the name says, it targets the muscles deeper in your body. It does not necessarily mean deep pressure although we often have to use deep pressure to reach the targets. I, myself personally do not think this to be a massage type. I included here because this term is used very commonly. This is one of the techniques that I use often during therapeutic massage to address injuries or chronic pain.
Scalp massage
Our body is maintained by the Autonomic Nervous System which contains Sympathetic Nerve System(SNS) as known as "fight or flight" system, and Parasympathetic Nervous System(PNS) as known as "rest and digest" system. SNS and PNS mostly has opposite effect to the body, one gets inhibited when the other is activated. When we are stressed, we become SNS dominant and unable to relax which leads to create the tension in your body including your head. Scalp massage provides the release of tensions in your head/brain which inhibits the SNS and stimulate PNS that leads you to relax. You will be amazed how much relief you feel afterwards!
cupping
What does cupping do? Cupping creates suction which produce a vacuum and a negative tension pressure ideal for tissue lift and separation. The lift forms a supportive environment for healing and nutrient exchange. When cups are moved while suctioning(dynamic cupping), it creates more myofascial release. Fascia is a connective tissue that wraps every organs of your body including muscles. When fascia is in good condition, it is flexible and move smoothly. When fascia gets tighten(caused by injuries, stress), it restricts the movements of your body that leads to dysfunctions and/or pain. Dynamic cupping works efficiently to release these tightness.
I will use cups with your permission when I think it is beneficial for you. You can reqesut it if you like too!
